We hope, you may be glad to know about the Kodiyetta Mahotsavam scheduled
to be celebrated at the temple from 27.02.2019 to
04.03.2019. The Kodiyetta Mahotsavam (annual festival)
will begin with the Dhwajarohana(kodiyettam-hoisting the temple flag)
on 27.02.2019 and conclude on 04.03.2019
with Aaraat (Avabhrita Snana) at the Palthirapuzha (river) in the
evening followed by Dhwajavarohana (kodiyirakkam) at night. The festival
rites will be solemnised by the Thantri of the temple Brahmasree
Kalakat Thanthrikal . There will be the usual Prasada feast
for the devotees ( Aaraat Sadya) on 04.03.2019, the
concluding day. Devotees in thousands from far and near are expected
to throng the temple to witnes the thanthric rituals, special poojas,
other festivities and to partake the Aaraat Sadya ( Prasada Oottu).
With the dedicated support and co-operation of devotees the spiritual
mission of the temple is progressing. The miraculous turn of events
that lead to the resurrection of this anciet temple on the bank of
the expansive river palthirapuzha, are wellknown as spiritually very
inspiring incidents of recent times. The vibrant spiritual power and
the serene surroundings blessed with surpassing natural beauty are
attracting devotees from far and wide.
The completion
of the construction work of the Gopuram, extension of the thirumuttam
(courtyard) at the southern side and construction of compound wall
in the traditional style are the major projects to be taken up on
a priority basis and which can be accomplished only with the generous
patronage/ offerings of the extremed devotees of the Lord.
